Okay. This was weird.

Jonah dropped to the ground, shaking out both hands, and tilted his head.  He couldn’t recall this one’s face, though if fair was fair, he never did pay much attention, shooting more at colors and uniforms than recognizable people.  He’d had plenty of run-ins with the Scouts, though, so she wasn’t one of them. He knew there was a female Spy in BLU’s midst, but while he’d only gotten a concrete glimpse of her once, while her knife was in his back, he was pretty sure there had been more cleavage there. Unless this was a clever disguise. It could have been.

But beneath that glossy fringe of hair was the barely visible edge of some pretty impressive burns.  A Pyro, then.

Jonah took a half-second to congratulate himself for this very taxing mental deduction — and then froze. Aw, geez… Slap this girl in a firesuit and she just about matched the petite silhouette of the little shitburner that had very nearly roasted him at the end of round two. Not so confident without your torch, kiddo.  “Well, hi there. Something I can help you with, or are you waiting for the pipe?”

Hotaru just keeps staring, her throat feeling dry and her fingers compulsively fiddling with each other inside her pockets. This is so difficult to process. This day had started out so normally with Froot Loops and orange juice, and now J.R. Cameron is fucking talking to her. What does she say? How does talk to him? She needs to think of something; she’s just staring at him like a creeper. Swallowing again to wet her throat, she finds herself blurting out:

“…I’ve seen all your movies.”

…That probably doesn’t help her seem less creepy.
